This exercise will help you think through the relationship between your sails and the wind.
Once you become a master of the art of sail trim, the whole world of sailing will open up. You will be able to not only sail to any destination you choose, but sail there quickly and efficiently. Unlike a car, a sailboat has many moving parts that can be adjusted to better harness the wind and propel you through the water. As you learn the basic points of sail and how your sails will react in each, you will become a better sailor. As you take this brief quiz you will encounter various sail trim problems. This exercise will help you think through the relationship between your sails and the wind.
