Welcome Aboard, Young Cruisers.
In 1983, the American Sailing Association was founded by Lenny Shabes. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of sailors have become certified sailors with the AS sailing curriculum. This year, we celebrate 40 years as the leading sailing education entity in the United States.
We're proud to join forces with the Young Cruisers Association to bring an educational element to your adventures so that your wildest dreams really can come true. We know what it's like to hear the call of the sea - from the moment of inspiration all the way through to the inevitable less dreamy scenarios that come with life at sea.
